| What lies behind these doors? |
Ok, I’ve been promising a glimpse at the cupboard under the sink for days, and now it’s time to reveal it to the world! My handyman made fun of me the other day for it.
When James started crawling, I moved all of the chemicals up. I’ve got some in the cabinet above the stove, some in the cabinet above the washer & dryer, and the rest in the garage. After that, I had an entire empty cabinet! I put the old towels from the laundry room in there. These are the ones that we use to tie around the outdoor faucets when it freezes, or maybe to dry the car after a wash or line the cargo area of the car for a trip to the nursery.
When I started stockpiling, I needed a place to put overflow canned goods. Those items are something that I can get a really good deal on, sometimes I can get them free, during a Mega Sale Event at Kroger. I decided to put the space under the sink to good use.

So, I know you’re wondering, “hey hoarder, what all do you have down there?” So here’s the list:
- 51 Cans of Del Monte Veggies
- 15 Cans of Hunts Tomatoes/Sauce
- 4 Bottles Ragu
- 4 Boxes Popcorn
- 5 Bottles of Water
- 27 Happy Tots Pouches
- 1 Half Empty Bag of Plastic Cups
- 5 Bottles Ketchup
- 30 Sponges
- 3 Scrubby Sponges
- 5 Junk Towels
That’s a lot of stuff! What I do is, I take from my pantry, and as there is space, I move this stuff up to the pantry. I try to keep everything under here non-breakable. James occasionally tries to take stuff out, but I can usually catch him before he gets to the Ragu.
Again, its not always full like this, usually just after a Kroger Mega Sale like the one a few weeks ago. Those Del Monte veggies were $.26 a can without coupons! The Hunts were on sale for $.45 a can. I had $.30 off when you buy 3 cans coupons, which triple at my store, so it was like every 2 out of three cans were free! The Happy Tots were on sale and I had a coupon. The coupon wasn’t fantastic, but we both work and its much easier to just give one of these pouches to James. He loves them!
So that’s my overflow pantry under the kitchen sink. I hope you enjoyed it! Remember to enter the drawing for the 2 free packs of Boogie Wipes here. If you comment but don’t see your picture under followers on the right side of the blog, your entry won’t count! Feel free to share the post on your blogs or on your Facebook wall! The drawing is Sunday night, so there’s not much time left!
