ULTA: Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes only $10! Today Only!

It’s the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale!

Tuesday’s Beauty Steal: Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara, Reg. $19, Now $10!!  Limit 2.

I really like this mascara, and I love the waterproof version!  Tarte’s Lights Camera Lashes Mascara is lengthening, curling, volumizing, and conditioning mascara, that is free of Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, and Phthalates.

Tarte cosmetics are a Prestige Brand, and are excluded from most Ulta coupons (Except the big 20% off Postcards), and they rarely go on sale, so this is a fantastic deal!

Don’t forget to go through Ebates to get 8% cash back (up from 4%) on your online purchase.  New Ebates members get a free $10 gift card after their first purchase!

21 Days of Beauty Sale at Ulta!

Spent $20, Saved $64.99; 76%!

I haven’t done an Ulta post in a LONG time!  I love Ulta!  I don’t really use a lot of drug store brand cosmetics.  I like Physicians Formula bronzer, but most of my cosmetics come from stores like Ulta and Sephora.  You guys know I love me some nail polish.  I also buy my very expensive but worth the splurge Pureology Nanoworks Shampoo & Conditioners there.  I always make sure I shop the sales and use coupons, but I still spend a pretty penny.

The Club at Ulta Rewards Program gives you a Level based on your spending during certain time periods.  I received my certificate a month ago, and I was a Level 6!  Oops.  You don’t want to know how much I had to spend to get that.  Oh well.  For my “reward” for spending that much, I could choose an item from their Rewards Catalog in Level 6. I could also have chosen a few items from different levels, as long as they added up to 6.  So that could be one level 2 reward and one level 4 reward, whatever, as long as it equals 6.

It was no contest this time, I was getting the free Hot Tools Curling Iron.

Spent $56, Saved $56; 50%!! But, my Mom bought me 4 of them, so I really only spent $28. Thanks Mom!!

This month, Ulta has their 21 Days of Beauty Sale.  This sale happens a few times a year, where they have one item on sale each day.  They had some really good deals!  On Sunday, I picked up my Free Curling Iron, and the deal for that day was Tarte’s Lights Camera Splashes Waterproof Mascara for $10 (normally $19).  This is my favorite waterproof mascara, so I picked up the limit of 2 tubes.

The next day, Monday, they had Butter London nail lacquer BOGO Free (normally $14).  I decided to go to Dallas and get my Mom to come with me so that I could take home 8 bottles.  Yeah, that’s kind of cheating, and I felt bad, but then I got home and saw that people were buying all 66 colors BOGO on the Ulta.com website, and I didn’t feel so bad.  Apparently, it said Limit 2 deals on the ad, but the stores didn’t care.  Damn.  I should have gotten more!

What great deals have you found at Ulta lately?

My Ulta Trip Yesterday! 3/27/12

Beauty Store Rewards Programs are great ways to save on items that you wouldn’t normally think you could save on.  Things like Salon Quality Hair & Nail Care or Department Store Brand Cosmetics.  I belong to both The Club at Ulta and at Sephora, I’m a VIB in their Beauty Club.

Ulta’s Rewards Club offers rewards to members based on how much the spend in a particular time period.  Those “quarters” run October 1- December 31, January 1-February 28/9, March 1- June 30 and July 1-September 30.  Here are the spending requirements per level:

Level 1 = Spend $50
Level 2 = Spend $100
Level 3 = Spend $150
Level 4 = Spend $200
Level 5 = $250
Level 6 = $300

They offer lots of different items for free for each level, and you can mix and match.  So, for example, if you’re a Level 4 this quarter, you can get something under Level 4, or, you can get 1 Level 3 gift and one Level 1 Gift, or 2 Level 2 gifts.  If you are a level 7 or above, you can get any combination of the gifts for the lower levels, as long as they equal your level.  They constantly add or remove gifts from the list, so it’s always changing.

I’m sort of ashamed (but not really) to say that I was a Level 8 for the 4th quarter 2011.  Yeah.  I have a slight Ulta and Sephora addiction/problem.  I can’t remember exactly what all I bought, but I do recall there being some liters of my favorite expensive salon shampoo & conditioner (hey, that lasts me for like 6 months!) and some replacement heads for my Clarisonic, and probably more nail polish.  Anyway, I had to get my rewards this week, as well as pick up a few things, so I went to Ulta yesterday.

Spent $24.50; Saved $53.49; 69%!!

Here’s what I got:

2 Oscar Blandi Pronto Spray Dry Shampoo 1.7 oz $11/ea
-Free Level 3 Gift
1 Olay 2 in 1 Facial Cloths $6.99
-Free Level 2 Gift
Amazing Concealer $21
China Glaze Pool Party $7
-Used $3.50/10 ULTA coupon

What’s so remarkable about this transaction?  That concealer was on sale.  That’s what.  Ulta is currently having their 21 Days of Beauty Promo, and yesterday’s deal was the Full Sized Amazing Concealer for 50% off.  Check it out.  It’s regularly $42.  I got all of that stuff for a little more than half of what that concealer normally costs.  And that stuff IS Amazing.  It’s the best concealer I’ve ever used.  I would have bought more, but we’re trying to curtail the spending a bit, and I have a small stockpile already.  I can wait until it goes on sale again.

I’ve heard that Ulta is starting a new rewards program, but I haven’t got the details yet.  When I do, I’ll pass them on.

In the meantime, I’m waiting for a box to show up on my doorstep.  It’s from Sephora…

My Ulta Trip 9/26!

Spent $13.50, Saved $12; 47%!

I told you Tuesday morning about my mani/pedi, so on Monday, I stopped by an Ulta store near my office to get a bottle of that nail color for my collection!  Ulta has a deal this week where you buy any full-sized 2 OPI nail colors, get a FREE top coat or base coat.  My top coats always get goopy, so I decided to do that deal.

I picked up a bottle of Skulls & Crossbones, and I decided to get another grey opaque lacquer just a touch darker for later in the fall.  I chose Suzi Takes the Wheel from the new Fall 2011 Touring America Series!
