It’s almost the best time of the year! PSLs are available again, and that means College Football is just around the corner! I love everything about Game Day: tailgating, seeing old friends, the food, it’s so much fun! The one thing that’s been challenging in the last few years is the Clear Bag Policy. This year, I found a clear bag that checks all the boxes – its within our stadium’s size range (YMMV), it holds a ton of stuff, its cute, and it is high quality! This is the BEST Game Day Clear Bag I have found, and its from Barrington Gifts!
***PSA: I totally understand and completely agree with safety and the reasoning behind the clear bag policy, I just don’t like everyone knowing I’m carrying Super Plus tampons. A girl needs some privacy. Also, this post is not sponsored in any way. I purchased these items with my own money and wanted to share this awesome find with you. Let’s face it. Ladies take stuff to games. Asking us to not have a bag, put our phones in our pockets, and walk into the stadium for security is unrealistic. Sometimes we don’t even have pockets! Even when I don’t have my kids, I have all kinds of stuff I need with me. When I do have my kids, I bring one of those clear tote bags, but then everything is a jumbled mess in there with no pockets to organize items. There’s just no way to make that situation work.
When we don’t take the kids with us to the game, I love a cross body bag to hold my necessities. Hands free bags are the way to go, especially when its 100 degrees outside that first week of College Football. Last year, I bought a new Tory Burch cross body bag similar to this one that would be perfect for the games…and then our stadium adopted the Clear Bag Policy. I was super bummed.
I didn’t want to lug around a clear tote bag, which would have been the frugal choice since I have 3 of those. Game Day in the South is all about looking cute while supporting your team, after all. So at the first game last year, I forked over $35 for a cheap clear cross body bag that had “Sic Em” written on it in the stadium gift shop. It worked ok, but it kept unscrewing and I was worried my stuff would fall out while I was walking to my seat. Plus, it was really small. When I upgraded my old iPhone in November, my new phone didn’t fit in the purse. I needed something new for this year.
The Best Game Day Clear Bag
A few weeks ago, I saw an ad online for the new Clear Norfolk Cross body bag from Barrington Gifts, and I had to have it. This bag is so cute! It’s a generous size, but still well under the size maximum for most stadium clear bag policies. Check your stadium’s policy to make sure.
What makes this the best game day clear bag ever are the details. The bag is made of thick, quality plastic, is trimmed in buttery premium leather, has an adjustable strap, nice substantial brass hardware, and you can have your initials embossed on the front for an extra $5. This is a Southern Tailgating Girl’s Game Day dream come true, y’all.
Game Day Accessories
To make your Clear Norfolk Cross body bag even more Game Day-Appropriate, you can get small accessories to put inside that are customizable to coordinate with your team’s colors! I went with Green, Yellow, & White, naturally.
One of the things I always need in my Game Day bag is an Eyeglass case. I need something to protect my lenses when its time to switch from my sunglasses for an afternoon of tailgating to prescription glasses at night. The Eyeglass Case was a no brainer for me, especially since I recently picked up some fancy Kate Spade Sunnies at a discount a few weeks ago. I wouldn’t want to get the lenses scratched during a night game, and this case is sturdy & protects them well. The Eyeglass Case is trimmed in leather and costs $50.
The other item I purchased from Barrington Gifts is the Highclere Accessories Case. This is a small leather-trimmed bag where I can put those essentials I want to keep private, like tampons or medicine, for example.
Lip gloss, bobby pins, a tiny sunscreen, my ID & a credit card, and whatever else I want to bring in can fit nicely in this little bag and not junk up my purse. The Highclere Accessories Case is $55.
Even with the eyeglass case & the accessories case inside the best game day clear bag ever, there’s still a ton of room for my keys, my phone, and more!
There’s even a little pocket on the back of the bag where I can stash my ticket stub. Barrington Gifts has thought of everything with this bag.
Barrington Gifts has other coordinating small accessories that can fit in this bag including wallets & keychains as well. Plus, if you sign up for their emails, you will get a 10% off coupon! Each item comes with its own protective dust bag.
The Clear Norfolk Bag costs $120 and has it all. I fully expect all of the ladies at the game on Saturday to gush over my new bag & ask me where I got it. So now you know. You have to get one! I loved my Barrington Gifts shopping experience, and I can’t wait to order more items from them.
How have you been navigating the clear bag rules at Stadiums? How will you customize your Barrington Gifts accessories? Tell me in the comments!
