It’s not quite time for the annual January Target Toy Clearance for 2016, but it’s getting there!

My Store
I scouted out my local Super Target this morning, and found that they had consolidated most of the clearance toys to one or two aisles in the Toy Department. There were a few on the endcaps as well. It didn’t seem like there were as many Clearance Toys as there have been in the past, but I feel like it always feels that way before the big drop, and then a ton of stuff is on clearance.
Most everything was 30-50% off. Legos, Barbie and Disney stuff all seemed to be 30% off, while the rest was at 50%. There were a few things already marked to 70%. I found several Leap Frog Explorer Games, including Minnie Mouse, Jake & the Neverland Pirates, and Bubble Guppies, as well as this Leap Frog Imagicard Digital Game & Interactive Cards. The Leap Frog Explorer games were $7.70 (down from $25.69) and the Imagicard Game was $7.48 (down from $24.99).
Neither of the Leap Frog items I purchased during today’s toy clearance trip ended in $.04, so technically they could get marked down again (a price ending in $.04 indicates Final Clearance), but they haven’t marked toys down past 70% in several years.
I’m still waiting for the big drop. I didn’t see many toys for the 7-8 year old boy range. There were lots of dolls and things for the 3-4 year old girl range, but not much for girls older than that. We’ll see what happens in the next few weeks.
More Target Clearance
There were lots of things on clearance marked 15-50% off all over the store in every department. Make sure you swing by the end caps with your coupons so you don’t miss any good deals!
I’ve been shopping the Target Toy Clearance for years. See my other trip reports here so you can get an idea of the changes from year to year.
