Other Stuff: Valentine’s Day Nail Art!

Happy Valentine’s Day! I wanted to celebrate the day with some fun Valentine’s Day Nail Art.

First, I didn’t want Valentine’s Day Nail Art that was to obvious or literal.  I mean, who has time to draw hearts all over their nails?  I needed something fast and easy!  So, I went for a polka-dot gradient!

My latest Julep delivery was the Cupid’s Mystery Box, and mine was supposed to have a voucher for a free color of my choice.  It didn’t.  So when I called Customer Service, (who were awesome!) they were going to send me my voucher, but I already knew what color I wanted, so they just placed an order for me.  Jessica was number one on my Wish List, and she’d been sold out for months…until the day before I got my Mystery Box!  Yesterday, she arrived!  She hasn’t even taken up residence in the Helmer yet!

For this polka-dot gradient, I used Julep Jessica for the base color, and then two different sized dotting tools dipped in Julep Carrie and Julep Drew.  You really can’t mess this up, you just put dots where ever you want, making sure they overlap.  I did about 3 passes with each color.  I used dotting tools from this set.

This is a neat manicure that you can change up with any color combination you want!  It was fun!
