8 Must-Have Beauty Products I’m Using to Keep My Hands Baby Soft

What a strange time it is with this COVID stuff. One of the things I’ve noticed is with increased hand washing comes increased hand dryness. I thought I would share with you how I’m taking care of my hands during this increased handwashing time. These are my 8 must-have beauty products for keeping my hands soft and smooth. These are great tips for anytime of the year and are totally self-care!

First, I have some tried and true beauty products that I’ve been using for years.  Because of that, some of them have been discontinued and are really hard to find.  If I can find them, I’ll let you know, but I’ve also found some decent dupes that you can swap as well.  Bonus, everything is available for shipping, so you don’t have to leave your isolated COVID-19 quarantine!

These links are affiliate links, and I do receive a small commission if you decide to purchase through them.  Your price does not change.  Thank you for your support!

Antibacterial Soap

Try these 8 Must-Have Beauty Products to keep your hands baby soft! This is the antibacterial soap we've been using during our COVID-19 social distancing

First, this is the hand soap we’ve been using.  I was lucky enough to come across about 20 or so bottles of this antibacterial soap last week, and I purchased 3 of them for my family.  The rest of the shelf was bare.  As you know, we normally use Mrs. Meyers purchased through our Grove Collaborative order, but I don’t think it is antibacterial.  Better safe than sorry.  Several of the pumps in our house still have Mrs. Meyers in them, and that’s probably ok as long as we use this a few times each day.

Moisturizing

These three beauty products are some of my very favorite items for hand moisturizing, and I use them at different times.  I always keep a tube of hand cream on my bedside table tray.  Right now, I have this Grove Collaborative Hand Cream which I received as a free VIP gift a few months ago.  It’s really great for everyday moisturizing.

Find out how you can get a FREE 5-piece Mrs. Meyers Cleaning Products set (a $35 value) when you become a Grove VIP member by clicking here.

For those times when my hands are REALLY dry, I reach for this Weleda Skin Food.  This stuff is super thick and ultra moisturizing.  A little goes a long way with this.  I use less than a pea size, and that’s good enough for my hands.  You can also use this anywhere on your body.  I’ve used it on my face before when you have one of those blemishes that leaves a dry spot.  You could also use Aquaphor, but I find that this works better.  The Weleda Skin Food lasts longer because you don’t have to use as much each time you use it.  There’s also a light version if you don’t want something so thick.

Try these 8 Must-Have Beauty Products to keep your hands baby soft including this Julep Cuticle Cream

Finally, Julep’s Cuticle Cream is hands down my favorite, pun intended.  I’ve tried a lot of cuticle creams and beauty products over the years, and this one is by far the best.  It absorbs really well and doesn’t leave my hands greasy.  I also love the innovative tube format with the soft lip-balm like dispenser.  It’s really unique and perfect to toss in your purse for on-the-go moisture.  It allows the cream to get exactly where you need it without using too much.

This one is hard to find.  I came across some at Marshall’s a few months ago and bought the lot.  Yesterday, I was able to find some on Amazon with Free Shipping (not Prime).

Gloves & Masks

I’ve had these moisturizing gloves for over a decade.  I keep them in the top drawer of my nightstand.  I love to put on the Skin Food Cream, and then put the gloves on to let moisturizer do its thing.  Sometimes, I even sleep in them.  I also have socks which I like to use with body butter or foot cream.  Right now, I’m using Lush Sleepy Lotion.  The gloves and socks have a gel lining that is cooling and comfortable.  Since the Bliss ones are discontinued, I was able to find this super-affordable Amazon set available on Prime for you!

I don’t have any right now, but I love hand masks.  These are sort of like sheet masks for your hands. They are paper gloves soaked in a moisturizing serum that you leave on for 15 minutes. They can be a great disposable substitute for the gloves I mentioned previously.

Nail Care

Favorite things to keep your hands baby soft including these three nail care essentials!

Finally, I usually go ahead and give myself a manicure while I’m at it.  After I get out of the shower or bath, I like to use this Deborah Lippmann Cuticle Remover.  I just put a little on each nail bed with the included dropper, then use my cuticle pusher to easily push back my cuticles.  Then, I very carefully trim the pushed back cuticles with my cuticle nipper.   This nail tool kit has both tools plus some extras in a nice zippered case for a great price!

I usually finish off my at home manicure with 2-3 coats of this Julep Oxygen Nail Strengthening Treatment.  It gives a sheer pink shiny look while feeding your nails and making them stronger and healthier.  No base coat needed.

Make sure you pin this list for later!

Try these 8 Must-Have Beauty Products to keep your hands baby soft! Increased handwashing dries out your hands. Make sure you have these must-have beauty products to prevent cracking and pain.

So, these beauty products are how I’m taking care of my hands during this extended Spring Break/COVID-19 Quarantine/Hand Washing Marathon.  Make sure you are following me on Instagram where I share all of my favorite things in real time!

What beauty products are your favorites?  How are you taking care of your hands?  Also, what’s your favorite daily hand SPF?  That’s the one step I’m missing, and its because I haven’t found one that I like.  Tell me in the comments!

I hope you and your family stay safe and sound during this extraordinary time.  I hope that during this time, this blog can provide a place where you can escape from the craziness.  Good luck out there!

I’ve always done my nails at home to save money, but I wanted something that actually lasted without damaging my nails.

The Dazzle Dry system dries in about 5 minutes, wears like gel (without the damage), and I can go over a week without chipping.

I’m using You’re Unforgettable from their Better Together spring collection, and I linked the full system + shades in my LTK so you can shop everything in one place.

I’ve shared parts of this room before — but not th I’ve shared parts of this room before — but not the full evolution.

This is my 16-year-old son’s bedroom. I designed it back in the 2020 One Room Challenge with the goal of creating something we wouldn’t need to redo every few years.

Before that, it was a bright little boy’s room.
And when we first got the keys? Just a blank box.

Over time, we’ve upgraded it slowly — including replacing the carpet with hardwood last year to match the rest of the house.

The foundation hasn’t changed.
Just the seasons.

More books.
More Legos.
More personality.

Same room. Just evolving.

I’ll be sharing more spaces from our renovation — not in order, just as they come. Follow along for more. 🤍

Adding an art lamp was the final touch. It completely changed how this space feels, especially at night. ✨
