It seems like every store these days has a loyalty program.  Same with product brands.  They might seem like a lot of work, but they can be a great way to save some extra cash on things you buy at the places you buy them.  That’s why it’s How I Save Money Tip #13.

Store Loyalty Programs

Did you know that most stores with loyalty cards charge different prices to people who don’t use the card?  They do!  The cards also store information on the things that you buy, so that you can get personalized coupons in the mail.

In order to make sure you are getting the best deal on anything you buy, make sure you take the time to sign up & scan your loyalty cards.  It only takes a second.

One of the downsides to each store having its own program are the cards.  I get it.  I used to have a huge, bulging wallet full of plastic.  A few years ago, I found the FREE Key Ring app, and it eliminates the need to carry around all of that bulk!  Its easy to set up, just scan your card into the app, and it keeps track of all of them.  You can even set up custom ones if they don’t have the retailer on their list.  The Key Ring App has a barcode that allows the cashier to scan your phone instead of a card. It also keeps track of coupons for some stores, like Staples and Ulta.

There are loyalty programs for many stores, including Grocery, Drug, Beauty, Office Supply, Furniture, Clothing and many more stores.  Check out the store’s website before you shop, and see if they have one.  Then, make sure to sign up and enter the code information in your Key Ring app.

Don’t miss out on special coupons and sale prices because you don’t want to carry or scan a card.  It saves so much money!

Brand Loyalty Programs

Brand Loyalty Programs are another way to save some money.  Many brands like Kelloggs, Huggies, Pampers, Little Remedies, and more have Rewards Programs.  I always check out brand websites for coupons before I shop, and if they have Loyalty Programs, I always sign up, even if I don’t purchase those products.  The Pampers Rewards program gives out free codes regularly.  I’ve saved up a ton of points that way, even though I don’t buy Pampers products.  The rewards catalog includes things like Starbucks Gift Cards, toys, Shutterfly Credits, Magazine Subscriptions and more!  Rewards programs like Kelloggs Family Rewards also offers High Value coupons as a redemption option.

Its always a good idea to sign up and take advantage of any loyalty or rewards program that any store or brand offers.  That’s how you get the best deals!  That’s why Store & Brand Loyalty Programs is my 13th tip for How I Save Money.
