Wondering about when this year’s Target Toy Clearance will start? I’ve got a Toy Clearance Update for you!

Toy Clearance Update Status – My Stores
Last week, about 20% of the toys at my stores were marked to 70% off. This week, everything that was on clearance (with the exception of things that never go below 50%) should be marked at 70% off. I picked up a bunch of donation items last week, and this week, I’m mostly looking for Christmas gifts and birthday gifts, with a few boys donation items thrown in the mix. I’m hoping to spend no more than $125 total. I have 3 Targets in my area that are relatively close by. One of them, didn’t have much last week, so I’m probably going to skip that one.
Toy Clearance Strategy
Each item has to be individually scanned by the markdown gun in order for it to go to 70% off, so if you see something and it’s still 50% (with the exception of Legos and a few other things that never go below 50%), politely ask the person marking down the toys to scan and sticker it for you. At my store, they are happy to do this!
Target items with prices ending in a 4 ($9.84, $1.24) are not going to go down further, so if you see something you have to have and it’s marked 50% off with a price ending in a $.x4, snap it up, because it won’t get cheaper! You can see the % mark down on the top right corner of the clearance sticker. It will either say 15, 30, 50 or 70.
More Target Clearance Update
There’s also a ton of stuff on clearance in the Kid/Baby department including clothing and baby gear like strollers & car seats. Make sure to check the inside endcaps all over the store for more great clearance deals!
