Pinterest Project: Disney’s Konk Kooler!

Have you ever had a Konk Kooler before or know what it is? It’s a delicious adult drink that I recently had on our latest Disney vacation. Today, I’m going to show you how to make a Konk Kooler at home.

We recently went on a Disney Cruise, and it was the best vacation I’ve ever been on.  If you have the means to do it, you must!

One of the things we loved about the Disney Cruise were the drinks.  Specifically, the adult drinks!  I found a bunch of recipes on Pinterest, and we paid a visit to our local liquor store a few weeks ago to stock up on the ingredients.

After I cleaned the windows last weekend, I made Konk Coolers, the Disney Owned Castaway Cay Private Island Drink!

What is a Konk Kooler?

A Konk Kooler is a frozen tropical drink found on Castaway Cay. I don’t normally like coconut drinks, but the different fruit juices in this one sort of masks the coconut flavors. It’s really good!

Konk Kooler Ingredients

Here’s what you need:

3 oz Malibu Rum

3 oz Dark Rum (We Used Mt Gay Rum)

4 oz Orange Juice

8 oz Cream of Coconut

6 oz Passion Fruit Juice

3 oz Ice

How I Changed the Recipe

This recipe was pretty good, however, I didn’t feel like the fruit juice measurements were quite right, and after taking a few sips, I added about 3 more ounce of Passion Fruit Juice to the blender.  This makes one pitcher full of Konk Coolers!

My Konk Kooler

Here’s my finished drink!

You know how you see stuff on Pinterest, and you get inspired to make it yourself? That’s what I’m doing with my Pinterest Projects Series. Sometimes they work, and sometimes they don’t. See all of my Pinterest Project attempts here. You can also follow me on Pinterest to get inspired!

These are a few Amazon favorites we reach for again and again all summer long.

I’ve always done my nails at home to save money, but I wanted something that actually lasted without damaging my nails.

The Dazzle Dry system dries in about 5 minutes, wears like gel (without the damage), and I can go over a week without chipping.

I’m using You’re Unforgettable from their Better Together spring collection, and I linked the full system + shades in my LTK so you can shop everything in one place.

I’ve shared parts of this room before — but not th I’ve shared parts of this room before — but not the full evolution.

This is my 16-year-old son’s bedroom. I designed it back in the 2020 One Room Challenge with the goal of creating something we wouldn’t need to redo every few years.

Before that, it was a bright little boy’s room.
And when we first got the keys? Just a blank box.

Over time, we’ve upgraded it slowly — including replacing the carpet with hardwood last year to match the rest of the house.

The foundation hasn’t changed.
Just the seasons.

More books.
More Legos.
More personality.

Same room. Just evolving.

I’ll be sharing more spaces from our renovation — not in order, just as they come. Follow along for more. 🤍

Adding an art lamp was the final touch. It completely changed how this space feels, especially at night. ✨
