My husband needed new clothes for work, so he and I went to J.Crew Factory to see if we could find him something. Of course, we found a lot more for me. J.Crew Factory is one of my favorite places to find cute clothes at great prices! There’s always an awesome sale! Let’s see what I found during my J.Crew Factory Try On Session for May 2018!
For reference, I’m 5’3″ and 100 lbs. I usually wear an XS/0/24 in most items, but have been known to size up for a looser, more relaxed fit in tops.
I find the sizes at J.Crew Factory to run slightly big. I’m usually a 0/XS in tops, and a 00/24 in bottoms. Pants are hit or miss for me there. I’m usually a 0 in dresses, but some I wear a 00.
Everything I bought was on sale for less than $50 each, but the sales here fluctuate, so make sure you check the price before you check out. They are always running a sale, so I tend to put items in my wishlist and then wait for the best sale.
As usual, these pics were taken with my iPhone 6. We’ve been saving for an upgrade this Fall, so hang on for better pics!
First, let’s start with one of my favorite things that J.Crew Factory does for Summer every year – the Linen-Cotton Embroidered Top. I got last year’s version and wore it non-stop. Still do! These are great with jeans for a night out or denim shorts for day time. Plus, they come in several colors.
Since I got the white version last year, I opted for the Green version this year. This is perfect for me to wear to those early season Baylor Football Games when its still a scorcher outside. I tried on 0 in the white and a 2 in the green, and ended up with the 2. It was just a bit more comfortable.
The other reason I got the Green Embroidered Top was so I could get the White in the dress version. I saw this dress from across the store, and knew it was going home with me. It is so comfy and fully lined, though still sort of sheer. Definitely need nude undies under this one. It comes in several colors, and I got my normal XS for more comfort in the armholes.
I’m totally wearing this to see Momma Mia! 2 this summer with my friends. LOL!
I picked this apron front dress just to try on for you, and it ended up going home with me! Look at that smile! It actually makes me look like I have some curves, and the back is amazing! You have to see it! So cute for Summer parties. In the bag it went.
I bought the regular grey version of this tank on my last trip, and it is so comfortable, I knew I had to get another. This summer, they’ve come out with printed hem versions, and this scattered dot black tank was super cute. I love that the armholes are a bit bigger for a more relaxed feel, but the tank is still slim.

Last but not least (this was a quick trip because Doug was waiting on me), I got these pom pom shorts that my sister-in-law told me about. She warned me they ran big, and they only had a few left at my store. One of them was a 00. It fit. Totally size down one. The black is selling out quick, but they also come in red and white. I bought these to add another option to my 2018 Summer Uniform of comfy t-shirt, drawstring shorts, and sandals.
I tried on this v-neck t-shirt to see if it rivaled my favorite Madewell Whisper Tee, and not even close. Madewell Tees FTW. This one stayed at the store.
There was so much more that I wanted to try on and take home with me, but I had to restrain myself. I need to keep some budget for rest of the Summer.
Make sure to follow me on Instagram and keep up with the outfits I’m putting together in my Closet Challenge Recap! I really love how the challenge is keeping me accountable in getting dressed like an adult every day. #nomorelazymom
