Other Stuff: Galaxy Nail Art!

I have wanted to do some galaxy nails for a long time!  They look really cool, and after watching some videos online, they looked pretty easy to achieve.  So I’m going to show you how I made my own Galaxy Nail Art!

I have a ton of colors, and I almost could do this galaxy nail art with all one brand, but I don’t have a yellow Julep…yet.  The colors I used were Julep Michelle, Julep Eileen, Zoya Pippa, Julep Carrie, Julep Eloise, Julep Sofia, and Julep Portia.  To get this look, you need some makeup sponge pieces (I tore four small pieces from a wedge sponge), tweezers, and a small dotting tool or toothpick.

Galaxy Nail Art Steps

I did two coats of Michelle for the background.  After that, I sponged the nebulae by layering sponge painted lines of Eileen, then Pippa, then Carrie.  Using the tweezers to pick up the sponges, I sponged Eloise along the sides of my nebulae to blend.  Next, I used the small dotting tool to stipple the stars, and completed the look with one coat of Sofia and one coat of Portia.  Sofia and Portia are slightly tinted but pretty clear glitter polishes, with Sofia being green-tint and Portia being blue tint.  Sofia glows in the dark, so it gives it an extra kick at night!

I really love this look!  It’s really cool!  My Julep Collection is coming along nicely, and I have a wide variety of shades to play with.
