We’re currently working on the kid’s bathroom, so I thought I’d do this simple bathroom organization tip for this week’s DIY post. We’ll get back to their bathroom next week.

About a month ago, I had had enough with my under-sink cabinet in the bathroom. I’ve always had a problem with this particular cabinet in any home or apartment where I’ve lived. There is so much strange-shaped stuff to fit in that cabinet, and not a good way to fit it in. There’s no shelves, and the plumbing is in the way. I couldn’t take it anymore. I needed some bathroom organization!
Some of the things that I keep in this cabinet include: hair appliances, makeup bags, travel bag w/toiletries, chargers, velcro rollers, hot rollers, hair brushes and more odds and ends. I needed to do something about it.
Supplies Needed
After looking around on Pinterest a bit, I saw several interesting, cheap and creative ways to corral the things I had to store in this cabinet. I made a quick trip to Target, spent about $20, and came home with 3 things: a 3 drawer Sterilite Drawer Organizer for $8.99 (I love these, this is probably my 5th one.), a cute black and white striped magazine file for $4.99, and a Room Essentials CD Box for $5.99.

I started out by clearing everything out of the cabinet, and then I sorted everything and threw out things that were broken or empty. A few things didn’t belong in there, so I found new homes for those items. Everything else was staying in the cabinet.
Here’s how I organized everything!

I started with the Sterilite Drawers. I decided to use the top drawer for my hair brushes, and I was able to fit 4 round brushes and 2 paddle brushes in there! The second drawer has all of my velcro rollers. The third drawer contains some sponge rollers, my Clarisonic travel case, toothbrush travel case, and chargers for my Clarisonic and Toothbrush.
On top of that, I’ve placed my hot rollers, my diffuser, and a small roller set. I was able to use the awkward space around the plumbing for I was able to use the middle area around the plumbing to store large shampoo bottles (I decant into smaller bottles for the shower) & my travel bag.
I used the magazine rack for all of my different curling irons, my flat iron, and my hair dryer.

In the little ombre box, I filed all of my small makeup bags. I have a lot because I subscribe to Ipsy, but I really like to use these to organize my purse, my car, my husband’s car, the junk drawer, the baby bag and more. They’re great!
To the left, I have a larger travel bag where I keep some larger makeup bags.
I’m so happy with this quick and easy change for only $20! I can find everything in a second instead of digging around and causing an avalanche. Bathroom Organization FTW!
You could probably do this a bit cheaper at the Dollar Store, but I wanted to mix function and style. I love how the ombre box matches with my bathroom decor.
Here’s an image if you want to pin it for later.
